The Dying and strong

As you lay dying,
You wilt and droop
But your spirit seems never diminished,
The sun reflects off your radiance,
Your personality shines through
Even in death, your beauty is everlasting,
Your petals fall,
forming a pool of beauty among the green grass,
mingling with the brown leaves
One by one, as the petals fall,
You share your everything, until the very last call
I pity you, I admire you,
You are a flower,
little more than a plant,
yet as your last petals hit the grass,
You have never looked stronger.

While browsing through the photos taken at the Botanical Gardens, I felt that this picture stood out the most as it was the most unique photo out of the rest. It showed the dying of a flower, instead of the usually vibrant bouquets. Yet, even though the flower is wilting, it still keeps its colour, instead of a brown and wilted flower one usually associates with the death of a plant. I thought this was unique, and that the flower was extraordinarily beautiful in this way, especially with its own petals on the ground surrounding it.
